Happy New Years Eve! Can you believe it is almost 2020? A new year is a great opportunity to reflect on your growth of the previous year. When we look back over the last 12 months, be grateful for the challenges you have faced and handled. It is these obstacles that we learn to discover the courage it takes to align ourselves with what we truly seek on this amazing journey. We do not have control over what obstacles life throws at us , but we can control how we respond to them. Intention setting is about aligning ourselves with the life we want. Setting intentions give us purpose and helps get us closer to what we desire.
Ask yourself the following:
- What brings you the greatest joy?
- What fills you with a sense of purpose?
- What fuels your fire?
Meditate before you answer these questions, then write down what you feel and see . Next, make a list to help you create these changes that will lead you on your way to create the life you want. Lets be clear, Intentions are not goals. Intentions align us with our true purpose.
Once I set my intentions, I make a vision board to support that vision. When we take the time to create our vision for the coming year, we are sharpening our focus and setting the wheels in motion to bring our intentions to fruition. Make sure to hang your vision board somewhere you will see it daily. As you look at it you are reinforcing your intentions and focusing your energy toward the things you desire. The effect of this is subtle, but very powerful. Visualizing activates the creative powers of your subconscious mind, so take advantage of it.
Final thoughts; surrender your intentions to the universe and watch how fast the universe conspires to give you all that you believe and desire.
