You Can’t Beat Beet Juice

Looking for the ultimate pre-workout drink that will power you through your toughest spin class, functional training class, WOTD (Work-out of The Day) weight training session or yoga class? Look no further than beet juice. If you’re serious about exercise and want to squeeze out every ounce of performance from your body, you should consume 6-8 oz of pure beet juice one hour before exercise.

Ladies and gents beet juice isn’t full of empty promises. There is a science behind its extraordinary ability to boost performance. Beet juice is loaded with nitrates which your body converts into Nitric Oxide. Nitric Oxide is a naturally occurring gas in the body that improves blood flow. Increased blood flow equates to better pumps, more endurance and better recovery. You’ve seen all the nitric oxide enhancers on the market for performance, but none of them can compete with 100% pure, unadulterated beet juice. It’s cheap and gets the job done. In short, the stuff works extremely well in producing noticeable performance enhancements. Boosted Nitric Oxide levels increase athletic performance and that is an undeniable fact that has the research to back it up. Try it, you won’t be disappointed.

Jo and I have been drinking it for a couple of years now and rely on it to get us through those days you just don’t have the “oomph” needed to get through a work-out..

Besides the performance enhancements, beet juice offers some excellent health benefits. Those include:

  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Aids digestion
  • Boosts cognitive health
  • Stimulates libido
  • Harder erections (yes gents, nitric oxide plays a huge role in erections pun intended)
  • Eliminates inflammation

As a side note drinking beet juice may turn your stools and/or urine red so don’t freak out and think you’re dying when you eliminate.

Before your next work-out grab a 6-8oz glass of beet juice, wait an hour and feel the rush during your work-out. It’s pretty incredible. I’ve tried the shots of beet juice they sell in local grocery stores in the health food section and they are pretty damn powerful due to their concentration. It says try half a shot first to see how you react for a reason. It is powerful! You’ll feel a rush if you drink the whole shot and some people aren’t ready for that. Proceed with caution on those shots.

Good luck and drop us a line on your experiences with beet juice. We look forward to hearing from you.

Happy Wellness Wednesday!

Until next time…..

Peace,

Chris
