Eat Your Way to Health

It’s time to eat your way to health. If you’re still contemplating whether you have enough discipline to begin eating healthy you are doing a great disservice to your future quality of life. Now is the time that ‘eating clean(er)’ will have the greatest impact on your health and quality of life. Let’s face it folks, when you’re in your early twenty’s (20’s) you can get a way with pretty much anything and still feel pretty decent. Sugar, alcohol consumption, late nights, no sleep, smoking and fast food can be just another routine day for people in their early 20’s. As the years go by, living this care-free, and what I’d call reckless, type of lifestyle will eventually catch up. There is no escaping it. It’s a proverbial black-hole. This is where the myth of aging leads to all sorts of aches, pains and disease was born. Truth is, getting older is not supposed to be associated with aches, pains and disease. It’s simply a result of abusing the body and a failure to correct it.

At birth, think of your body being a pristine pool of water never exposed to pollution, toxins and chemicals. Now think of a dropper filled with a watery, nasty, steaming concoction of pollution, toxins and chemicals. What would happen if that pristine pool was exposed to a couple of drops from that dropper everyday? The pool would eventually become a polluted, toxic, and chemical filled mess, right? What eventually happens to that polluted pool? Yes, you guessed it; everything in it begins to slowly die and wither away. The fish, the aquatic plants, the micro-organisms all begin to break down and die, eventually leaving nothing but a dead pool of water.

Well guess what? That’s exactly what is happening when people do not make the decision to eat healthier. Whether it be from laziness, “it’s too late” syndrome, or the excuse “I’ll start tomorrow”. Neglecting your body will have a negative impact on your health, well-being and quality of life…guaranteed.

I always tell people regardless of how old they are, that aging is not supposed to be fraught with aches, pains, disease, and low energy. There are plenty of people living well into their eighty’s (80’s) feeling like they did in their sixty’s (60’s). Please keep in mind I am not saying there are not some legitimate health issues that pop up with people over forty (40), but don’t you want the best chance at a quality of life that surpasses your highest expectations? Of course you do, who wouldn’t.

Here’s a little fact before I sign off. Your entire body totally rebuilds itself in less than two (2) years, and 98% of itself in less than one (1) year.  That means every cell in your body eventually dies and is replaced with new cells giving you the opportunity to build an entirely new body!

So you see, it’s NEVER too late to turn the boat around. All it takes is a choice. Make that choice today..as a matter of fact make it right now. Your health and life depend on it.

Get after it!!!

Chris

This is very true! We should make it a habit at a young age.
